Dramione AU: Hermione teaching Draco how to play the piano

Draco could never predict when it would happen. He’d be walking through the school corridors and suddenly a familiar scent would attack his senses. There was no other trace of the witch, just her scent. Triggering yet another memory to resurface in his mind, and all he could do was stand and embrace it. Because they’d never go away.

“No, Draco. Look, watch me.” Hermione pressed down on the sequence of piano keys again, and he watched the way her fingers moved so delicately with the melody. It was beginning to frustrate him, but the blonde refused to give up. He waited until she’d finished before giving it another try, face contorted into a glare of concentration. As if he could scare the piano into doing what he wanted. 

“That’s it.” The witch smiled at him, nodding reassurance. It was impossible for Hermione not to notice the heaviness of his fingers, skin between her brows creasing slightly. “Be more gentle.” Without warning, she placed her hand on top of his. It was a lot easier to guide him this way. The notes rang out quieter this time, and Hermione couldn’t help chuckling at the look of seriousness on his face. “See, that’s better.”
